This was to check fluid pump suction.
My van was used as an anchor.

Next step is a hop skip and jump at SZP and then off
to Cal City for flight test.
Ran perfectly. Dan Gray, our UAL 777 captain, now can control the mixture
with a knob on the instrument panel between +20 and - 15 % of
stoichiometric on methanol.

Here is the engine data log for todays run.
What is eye opening for me is we are getting some boost at
zero exhaust manifold pressure!!! What does this tell one? Obviously
exhaust gas velocity is more important than exhaust manifold pressure.
Keep this in mind when designing exhaust manifolds.
I am looking forward to an extensive education on this subject
since we added an exhaust manifold pressure sensor.
The EGT is on this log as well and it never got over 1400 F
at 4000 RPM at 25% throttle opening and 30 inches of manifold
pressure. The engine is barely above idle but it was enough
to check pump suction as all fluid pressures were OK.
