According to Warren Overton, engine builder for PPRE and most of Mad
Mike's NZ based rotary cars, the new rotary sports car will be called
the Vision to be for sale in 2018 (not an Rx-7 or Rx-9) Mad Mike is
sponsored by Mazda now, they've even supplied him with brand new 20B
parts and he and has crew have had multiple sit-downs with Mazda
about all this. I talked w/Warren @ Formula Drift here in WA last
Saturday (8/6/16)

A good thing for Mazda to do. They made a big mistake when they pulled
the RX8 out of the Rolex series and then tried to race the silly diesel.
Fell flat on their face. It is like they forgot all they knew about rotary
engines and how durable and reliable they are.
