Very expensive. Takes too highly skilled and experienced people
   all day. I think this is routine every 3000 hours.
   I suspect it happens more often than that.

   This engine is 725 HP and weighs 400 pounds.
   We have this engine beat on HP to weight ratio.

   The TTC Mazda turbo rotary  is 650 HP and only weighs 250 pounds with Bell
   47 gear box. It can be entirely rebuilt in less than a day by one person if you sand
   blast the rotors :-)

   It remains to be seen what the rotary  life would be. The SiNi apex seals are good
   for 20,000 hours. Not 2000 hours..20,000 hours. Nobody has tried SiTi side seals
   yet to my knowledge.

   The cost of the engine however is one tenth that of the PT6.

   The current plans are to tow the TTC aircraft to cal city on Monday,
   get the wings back on maybe Monday night or Tues morning
   and then fly it Tues day or maybe wed day.

   Well when the rotary get's set up for Beta and reverse, then it will approach the KOOL factor. The noise, well that's another issue ! Can we stick something on the rotary
   exhaust to give it that Turbine whine ?
