We spent a long day loading it on the trailer and getting the electric
trailer brakes to work on the back up pickup tow vehicle.
Both tow vehicles now have electric brake capabilities. I just finished
mine at 9 PM. Then I drove it around to test them. Fortunately they worked.
If you get stopped by the cops and you don't have your electric brakes
wired there is a $5000 fine.
We must climb to at least 3000 feet over the mountains and come back
down 3000 feet. No easy mater towing 4000 pounds.
There is no standardization on electric trailer brakes.
U-Haul gave up and all their trailers have self contained hydraulic brakes.
They are applied when the tow hitch goes into compression from normal
tension.
There was no way just Pete and I could pull that 1000 pound airplane up
the 20 degree ramp to load it on the trailer. Fortunately I had a hand
winch lying around in the hangar.
Tomorrow is towing day. We have a few odds and ends to take care of in
the morning. The wings are a piece of cake as the supports are already
done and they just plug into this aircraft trailer.

Good luck with the trip,
Andrew Campbell.
Thanks Andrew. NZ
