Paul, In discussion with others so that I can appear intelligent,
just what is the exact location for the intake P port to enter the
rotor housing? To date this has been just a round hole, yet some
say it should be an oval hole. Does it make a difference? Then The
argument goes that the locations for the P port differs between NA
and turbo. Is this correct?
As usual, HELP. Neil.
Maybe if you are looking for the last HP and you are racing with some
sort of rules where every last HP counts.
The round hole is cheaper than any other kind.
Here are the correct dimensions.
It is a copy of the Le Mans 4 rotor engine that made 800 HP normally
aspirated.
The BSFC was the best possible.
On the TTC the hole is in the same location turbo or no turbo.
Isn't 650 HP from a two rotor enough? :-)

IIRC, D-shaped P-ports are best... with the D laying on its back
(flat edge at the top)..
Dan Gorsline.
Best by how much? :-)
For all practical purposes that eliminates welding a steel to
the steel rotor housing liner.

I would say a flat top to the port may have a tendency to catch the apex
seal a bit. A slight curve would allow the seal to not get caught. I
know the MFR ports are pretty much square for maximum cross sectional area.
