I found a book called  Early Flight  ISBN 1-55521-227-1 at the ten
 dollar book store in Semi Valley. It was published in 1987 and it was
 a collection of article dating back to 1860.

 I found an extraordinary article written in 1911 which was a long
 interview with the Wright brothers. It is mostly their words. I was
 astounded by their aircraft and aerodynamic knowledge and predictions
 of the future of aviation.

 I scanned it and compiled it into one pdf.

The French were fascinated by Vilbare :-) The French had attempted
to fly unsuccessfully many times before Wilbur showed up and put
them all to shame.

The Europeans were and are  better educated in science so frequently American
genius is first recognized in Europe.
