Greetings all, a question for the RX8 (renesis )flyers/drivers on the
list.

Is there any advantage or disadvantage to increasing the oil sump
size over the relatively small sump of the Renesis.

Rich Goldman

I would say yes. The more oil you have the longer it takes to heat it
up. We can run the TTC with no oil cooler at all with 3 gallons of
oil in the dry sump  tank :-)

I have a 10 quart oil pan left if you want one.

Thanks Paul, I have one, just trying to decide whether to use it or
not

Rich Goldman

I have an I've sized aftermarket oil pan on my RX8 [car] (no noticeable difference) as well
as a 2+ gallon custom sump in my plane's Renesis.
