This converts a liability to an advantage.
Solves two problems at the same time.
It use the GM idea of a separate SS plate to insulate
the rotor bearing from the combustion chamber reducing
the heat flow to the rotor.

Air flows from the relatively  high pressure area near the trailing apex seal
underneath the SS plate to the leading part of the combustion
chamber retarding the main flow forward and giving more
time for combustion when it will do the most good.

Unburned fuel trapped in the space between the SS plate and the rotor
can be retained by side exhaust ports. Same as the RX8.

I could apply for a patent to add to my other patents  but that would take years.
Since I am 81 that might be after I am dead :-)

I am donating this idea to the rotary engine community.

Please don't use it with charge cooling or an air blower cooling the rotor.

BTW the Wankel aircraft engine in the 500 HP to 1500 HP range is twice
as good as the turbo prop engine in the power to weight ratio, cost of manufacture
and fuel burn. Here is a picture of the time to climb to 3,000 meter world
record attempt 1000 pound aircraft. This aircraft has been test flown and the record
attempt will be made any day now. The overall power to weight ratio is 1.5 pounds
per HP.
