Hello Paul + Hello Dale,
well, the temperatures Paul has mentioned, are quite good ... ;-)
But, sorry Dale, up to minus 20, 30, 40, even 50 deg Celsius -
that's too
cold for "my father's son" ... ;-)
Heating must be pretty expensive there ...
Don't you want to move more to the south, perhaps to Paul ? Then
you could
work together without getting cold hands ... ;-)
I've always trouble with my fingers in the cold - + you cannot
always wear
handshoes ...
But we're different - some like the cold + snow, others (like me) are
"frustrated" in winter + are waiting for warmer days ... ;-)
Paul, your picture of the "injection system", No P1170544, looks
more like
an ape with a cap - are you shure, that it's the electronic
hardware ... ;-)
This photo makes me smile - don't throw it away ... ;-)
With kindest regards
Franky / Frank Herfert
Look at the cap very carefully :-) That's are ex :-)

Hello Frank and Happy New Year. When I was growing up we go skating or
toboganing at -30. Just dress for it but we did get cold hands and feet.
Worked as a field mechanic for many years and then Instrumentation
mechanic. Lots of outside work to -30 and under a tarp or parachute as a
mechanic to keep breeze down. I am now not as tollerant of the cold as I
was as a child. I got fed up trying to please the oil patch operators
and construction consultants. Operators and their foremen being the
worst hemoroids you can possibly be inflicted with!
I am considering moving to Ukraine for 6 months a year. I went to Sumy,
Ukraine for a week in March 2009. Missed out on a blizzard and -40 at
home. This last week has been similar to what you describe and Odesa is
a bit warmer.
Generally pleasant people who like to have a good time with family and
friends. Lots of great architecture and food.
In N. America we knock buildings down to build a new one. In Germany you
use your town hall for 600 or so years. I have a book; Twentyfive Great
Highways of the World. Nine are in Europe so I would like to send my
1940 Ford over and tour those but also add in Norway, Sweden and Finland
and also more to see 20 countries. One highway is the Odesa Highway from
St. Petersburg to Odesa which I will not consider going to Pootlerstan.
I would do the Ukraine part.
I hope Germany can come to grips with the radical Islam problem. All of
the EU needs to do that. Also there are issues behind all the referundum
talk that need to be resolved to keep the EU together. The statement;
together we stand, divided we fall is very pertinent right now with
belligerent Czar Poopin of Mordor.
