I have heard from  one person so far.

Runs fine on Windows 10 (I7 laptop). Plays with no sound on Ios
(Iphone 5s). Not all video files are created equal. What was it
filmed with?

I can't get it to work on any of my android stuff, just audio

I think what started all this was software patents on codecs in the
US. I know near nothing about it. Some countries did not recognize
them and programs like VLC came from Europe as well as Linux that
would play anything.

My Linux has no problem showing anything.

It appears there is video chaos in the cell phone and tablet biz.

If anybody has a cell phone or tablet that runs them with out
problems send me name of the app.

Paul Lamar

FYI,

On my notebook running Redhat, using VLC or the default video player,
Totem I have no problems. On my phone running Android, using VLC it
plays fine but the default video player doesn't play the video, sound
only...

Cheers,

Thomas Gadd

Every, body take a short movie on your cell phone or tablet and send
it to me telling me the brand of phone or tab and the rough year you
 bought it.

Paul Lamar

Paul, Here is a video I took December during the 25hr enduro at
Thunderhill Ray Hellstrom

Thanks Ray.

Here is a short clip of Ray's vid. It is remarkable compressed.

Can every body see this. It is called a MOV(mp4) format.

Any rotaries run in this race Ray? How did they do?

Paul Lamar

Paul, Yes, but sadly, only one, an RX8. The rotaries have dwindled
down quit a bit since when I started with NASA back in 1995. Here is
the media guide and entry list

Ray Hellstrom

Do you have a set of race car rules Ray?

I would be interested in seeing  them.

Did everybody get Ray's video?

If it worked let know. If it did not work also let me know. Please
include the type of cell phone tablet or computer you are using. It
is a different format and if it works I will start using it. Here it
is again.

Paul Lamar

Worked on IPad 1
Bill Schertz

Yes it is more likely to work on an Apple product as I suspect it is closer
to full blown Unix or Linux.

If I were the cell phone industry I would scrap android and go with full blown
Linux. Then one could add USB ports and all sorts of good things
could happen. Printing and reading 3 Terra-byte USB hard drives.
A Phaplet could then replace a note book computer.
