Is there anyone on this group with enough time and expertise to make
a Facebook page for the TTC project? It sure ain't me, I have neither
the time or the expertise, especially not the expertise to take
Paul's photos and videos and transfer them to a Facebook page. But I
do feel like this project should get all the exposure it possibly can
and there are a lot of aviation buffs on Facebook.

I want nothing to do with face book. It is set up so face book can
sell your preference  info to spammers and make millions doing it.
Plus they advertise on your face book.

Basically every body in the world can have their own web site and
you control everything that is on there. No advertising if you wish.

I have no desire to use or advocate the use of a website who's soul
purpose is to sell your data to people who want to make money off of
you without your obvious knowledge or consent. I sincerely hope FB
goes the way of the dodo.

Perhaps there are other ways to promote the TTC project for free?
Perhaps a blogger type website is in order? IMHO I agree with
Paul..any one in the world can have their own website.

You can do your own web site with a text editor and a little
knowledge of the HTML mark up language. There are also programs that
will automatically generate a web site. The hosting of a web site is
inexpensive.

100% in agreement with Paul on this. Besides the problem with privacy
(which is a shill word to replace the actual thing, which is an illegal
taking of your intellectual property) the "free" sites including
Facebook and are constantly changing, so the uploader is constantly
forced to revise the content, and the downloader is constantly forced to
revise the programs needed to access it.

There are plenty of free and inexpensive authoring tools to generate
standards-compliant web pages. Even editing html in Word or Libre Office
is OK. I run plenty of web servers at data centers. If there is actually
a problem for people to come up with $100 a year or so for hosting space
I can provide it.

Hosting videos is another hassle. Do it on your own site in whatever
formats make sense, and *also* post it on Youtube. Embedding Youtube
videos on your site is painless and they have focused on make it work
for all browsers.
