I think the rotor is too narrow. That compromises the rotor bearing
and limits the RPM. There is a proper ratio of width to diameter
for plain oil pressure fed bearings. If this is too narrow the plain
bearing loses load capacity.

I spoke to them about it at AERO in 2009.

I think Dankwart worked for Felix Wankel as a technician.
