Dave Klingler:

Paul's statement of how much he pays for your solar panes was not an offer but a rightful question. We all pay for you to get low cost solar panels as it is heavily subsidised making you a free-loader to some extend. :-)

Feeding back to the grid is one thing but you need the grid powered by fossil fuels to begin with.

If Obama would succeed and all fossil fuels would be eliminated the whole economy will collapse. I trust you are aware of that or perhaps not?

Without fossil fuel no ICE, no business and pleasure travel, no reliable transport of goods, no commercial flying, not heating our homes that would be detrimental in our areas here in the north. We would be living as people lived centuries ago heating our homes with burning wood and a bit electricity form wind and solar. No fuel for melt furnaces to make steel and many other products that electricity just cannot supply. Now new solar panel either as the bit electricity that is available would be needed elsewhere.

That is all coming about because some alarmist people invented the hockey stick scenario about GW which is, as Trump would, say 'fake' news. CO2 is a fundamental building block of our carbon based environment. CO2 is needed for plant and food growth. Without it we all starve.
CO2 has increased from 280 ppm to 400 ppm over the last 50 years or so. Thanks goodness for that. Blaming it for GW is like saying that 0.00012 part in the atmosphere of more CO2 causes all the warming when we know it is the water vapour that does it. CO2 is generally accepted as a weak greenhouse gas. Even if its effect would be the same as water vapour we would increase the greenhouse house effect from 1 to 1.00012.  At a projected 2 degree C increase till 2100 the portion due to CO2 would be to 2.00024 degrees C if my arithmetic is right.

So far there is no proof whatsoever that CO2 has any effect on warming. It is all hearsay. It could be compared to heavy rain and flooding where one could say lets kill all the animals as when they pee it adds to the flooding and the animals are the major cause of flooding. It is just about the same relationship. Perhaps a bit exaggerated, by not by much.
