Hi paul. I have a dream of getting investors to cerify a rotary
engine. Also either aquire a previous built like TB21 ...licences and
right to build. For ball park , what kind of cost? Time?

Thanks Reza Ehktera

In the US you must invest in a manufacturing facility to make all the parts
as that is a requirement of the FAA certification.
It can be done quicker in Europe as the European FAA will accept Mazda
parts. They will put a hour limit on the engine with out allowing an
overhaul.

The official time limit can increase after a certain amount of life data
is acquired by owners.
Don't even consider EFI or electronic ignition. Use certified
carburettors and magnetos.

The US FAA has a reciprocity agreement so the engine can then be sold in
the US.

My guess this could be done for less than  $250,000

This link will take you to a bit of a summary of the changes that
are already in effect with/at the FAA.
