Recently an engineer contacted me from an aero space company doing
secret work for the government and was interested in having me as a
guest speaker on the TTC project. I agreed to show up and bring the
pilot. He was very enthusiastic for several emails. Then nothing!.
Silence!

The NSA now reads and  records all email where before they only read and
recorded email going over seas. We have several hundred people over
seas on
this list so I have been recorded by the NSA for years. I am on the
NSA bad person list. Obviously they pass this list out to companies
doing secret work.

It's a sad day when we become like the UK as far as surveillance goes.
Granted effective for terrorism because they catch almost everything.
It's bigger than that though, there is a massive Shadow Government and
as they see and hear all they are in control. Parliament just thinks
they are. When you can control information you can control the direction
of the Government and its effectiveness.
You can get caught up and you will only be heard if they want you to be
heard.
In your case it's likely to be a financial concern. Someone has a
product that the TTC theory could challenge costing someone somewhere a
fortune. That would be my guess if they actually cut you off. The guy
could have had a family emergency or taken a position elsewhere?

No this happened in hours. The possibility is: it is corporate. The
parent corporation may own Lycoming :-)
Or P&W Canada known to be doing extensive development on the Wankel.

Uh, a rotary engine, produced by a Japanese company, originally
developed by a German company, is a munition? I do not think so.
But then, I haven't read all of those laws and associated
regulations. The "engine computer" you have built does not have
anything to do with cryptology, so I don't think that is a munition.

The stuff that I work on, I have problems with this because I
don't own the software, so it makes it difficult for me to the
the export license. The company that makes the software doesn't
understand my question(s) -- purposely obtuse -- So I am now
going to a different company. Seems that when you do security
devices, the encryption/decryption portion (software and/or
hardware) is a munition as defined by law.

Some of this stuff just gives me a rip-roaring headache. I can
understand why it would give you one.
