I got an invitation from Scaled Composite to give a talk about the
rotary TTC in Mojave.
They are the Burt Rutan company that built the around the world non stop
Voyager air craft with Dick Rutan and Jeana Yeager as pilots. They used
my test equipment
to check the take off acceleration back in 1987. Here are a couple of
pictures.
The second, never before published, picture is thanks to Kim Reynolds.

They are currently building the worlds largest aircraft in Mojave.
Larger than the Hughes Spruce Goose.

I got a private tour through the huge Stratolaunch hangar after I gave
my TTC talk.
There are about 2 or 3 hundred people working on it.

They bought two, used,  timed out 747's to cannibalize landing gears,
engine pylons  and cockpits.
The structure is 100% carbon fiber.

I think it was Burt Rutan's idea.

Truly an amazing product.
