Paul,  While attending your forum at OSH, I mentioned to you about a booth in the Ultralight Area pushing a single rotor completely new Wankel.  I had relayed your forum information to the folks at the booth but I don't think they attended.  Anyway, for your information this is their contact information.

It appeared to be a clean slate design with no Mazda parts on a smaller scale than Mazda.  The guys name was Rod Schramm.  Looked as though he was far along to completion.

I hope to hear from them. Sounds interesting.

Maybe they will notice the article in Flying magazine.

Great article on our TTC project on page 80 and 81  in the August issue of Flying magazine by Peter Garrison. Peter writes two articles every month.

For those of you that don't know Peter.

"In 1968–1973, while living in Tarzana, California, he designed and built an all-metal, two-seat, single-engine low-wing monoplane. The design was influenced by the T-18 of John Thorp and the PL-2 of Ladislao Pazmany, both California airplane designer/builders. Garrison called the plane Melmoth after an 1820 Gothic novel, Melmoth the Wanderer. It was notable for unusually long range and for Mr. Garrison's lack of academic qualifications for designing it. With his companion, television documentary producer Nancy Salter, Mr. Garrison used the aircraft to fly to Europe, Japan and South America. The 1976 Pacific crossing was the first nonstop flight from the United States to Japan by a homebuilt aircraft."


Peter came up with a humorous way of describing piston engines.
"an army of bits and pieces jumping back and fourth in an oily blur" ROLF

As far as the rotary is concerned.

"As the rotor turns   these voids grow and shrink compressing and expanding
their contents in the same way a four cycle piston engine's cylinders do."

Good description.
