This may be an equivalent to the Summit unit, may have better
quality control!

The specs are much better.
Less current per 1000 RPM.
Works down to six volts. Thats great.
I cannot find a cost however.

Thanks Garry.
Looking good. Good docs. Attached.

Pertronix CD has multi spark through the rev range.
Dale Davies
It does not claim to be a CD.
There for dwell calculations may be required.
BTW Dwell is built in to the old point type distributors.
It was possible to adjust the dwell over a limited range.
If you keep the points closed longer you increased the dwell.
If we wanted to use an optical crank angle sensor we could
simulate the old points type distributors. The plate would
be slotted. The length of the slot would be the dwell time.
At low RPM the dwell would be longer which is basically
undesirable.. Same as a distributor.

On Pertronix website in the description of the Second Strike ignition
just to the right of the photo of the unit it describes; "after the
initial spark there is a very powerful second Capacitive Discharge spark".
Dale Davies
That is interesting. What is the link for that web site?
