We got up to 10,000 feet. Full throttle and a small amount of waste
gate closure.
We will have more engine data tomorrow.
This video is only 25 seconds and my guess is it ends at 3000 to
4000 feet.
The aircraft is just a speck at that point.
I am not sure as the guys forgot the camera looking at the altimeter.
The angle of climb is about 80 to 90 degrees. Near vertical.
Dan says it is real critical. He has no visual reference so we are
going
to put an aerobatic device on the left wing so he has a visual
angle reference.
It is doing about 110 Kt at that angle.
110 Kts is 126 MPH or is 184 FPS or 11,000 feet per minute.
Check my arithmetic.
It appears the record is a piece of cake if we can climb near
vertically
at 110 Kts. In fact we would push it so far out of sight no other
engine would equal it other than another Wankel.
We had a problem with the RV8 chase plane as the alternator failed
and it did not have mags. It had something called e-mags.
Of course it can't climb near as fast as the Wankel so the Wankel
loses it anyway..

That is very, very, exciting news,,
