on a single rotor engine an automatic rear balancer and flex plate must
still be used but balance must be way out so what else has to be done ?

There are two balance weights 180 out from the one rotor.
It is easy to static balance but it must be dynamically balanced as well.

I just noticed that solid state accelerometer  has an I2C serial interface.
Those SS accelerometer are widely use in all sorts of aviation
instrument panel displays and cell phones. They are very low cost.

It is now quite possible to build your own low cost dynamic balancer
using a Maximite. You just attach the SS gyro/accell  to some part of your
engine with a magnet or a bolt  and it will send the data to the Maximite.

The old fashion dynamic balancers are very expensive.

It will take a bit of experimentation to do this to find the best place
on the engine

A. Record the compression.
B. Control the EFI
C. Dynamic balance one rotor engines.
