Dear Paul,
My name is Gerhard Schiffmann, and I've recently completed building a
brand new experimental airplane of my own design (see attached photo).
It is a fiberglass amphibious plane, based off of the Dyke Delta
planform, with the exception that it is a pusher configuration. The
powerplant I selected for my plane is an RX7-20B, non-turbocharged,
rotary. Currently, I'm in the Phase I testing of the aircraft and have
successful completed several high-speed taxi runs, including a sustained
lift-off of a few feet (for about the distance of the Wright Brothers
first flight haha).
I've currently been struggling to program and master the accompanying
engine control module supplied by Traci Crook at Real World Solutions.
In this endeavor, I've been trying to contact Traci, but have been
unable to do so. Therefore, I was hoping to reach out to other Rotary
engine users, in attempt to receive some assistance, insight, and/or
tips on programming these amazing, yet misunderstood, engines.
Obviously, I have the engine up and running, but it's just the final
tuning of the engine for various throttle positions that I need some
assistance with.
Any help or recommendations that you would be gracious enough to
provide, would greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Gary Schiffmann
