Hi Paul, Once again a superb job. I seem to have lost the email
about the size of the heat exchanger for the water cooling, Do you
have the cubic inches per HP that is required?

We used to think it was 600 cubic inches for about 250 HP but
recent experience maybe 500 is more like. A lot depends on how it is
installed. A good wedge diffuser is essential. Do you have my book?

Yes I did have your book but I lent it to John Shuttleworth who is no
longer with us, I do have the emails and photos of the diffuser
that were posted here. Thanks that gives me a good Idea on the size
required for my 130 HP.

Do you have any data on the grade of steel for the prop Shaft?

No not for sure. It was built seventy years ago. Probably 4130.
It is way over kill for the TTC as it was the main shaft for a helicopter.
4130 has been around since the 1930's.
For the 2 rotor.... 2 inch dia, 3/16 wall 4130 tube is about right.
