Here are some pics of the modified cowl with new scoop. I used a carb bonnet used for
blow through carb systems turned around. I cut a hole in the top for a rectangular
K&N filter and blocked the original inlet off. I made a pressure recovery scoop for
the carb that mates to the bonnet when the cowl is closed. The cowl is hinged so I
am encouraged to examine the engine as you release two auto latches and pull back to
release the cowl. I still need to fill and sand but thought it has been a while
since I sent any progress. Joe Berki
That looks like it is going to work Joe. You want to radius the edge of the intake
scoop a little bit.
