we have somewhat similar ways of thinking, maybe similar vintage as well. Should be
interesting.
BTW, is there any info or articles regarding cooling BTU's needed, etc?

I never made the BTU calculation but they can be derived from the fuel consumed.
35% is cooling waste heat. One third of that is oil and the rest of that is water
cooling.
My book is called "How to Cool you Wankel." Until I researched that just about everybody
had cooling problems. Since that time none? There were some breakthroughs
in diffuser design in the 1980's which pretty much solved the problems of liquid
cooled aircraft engines. The TTC never gets over 150 F no matter what you do.
If anything it was over designed by a factor of two.
