Would it be possible to talk the owner into changing the prop and getting another pilot for another few runs. It's obvious that this plane hasn't come close to reaching its potential. I have said before here that I believe the pilot was not the one for the job. Maybe now others will agree. I've talked to several old time pilots about the TTC record. They just don't seem to be as impressed with it as they are with Lyle Shelton's unofficial record. If it actually beat Lyle Shelton's unofficial run, they would take it seriously. The TTC is really not completely developed. It needs a few tweaks and a pilot up to the task. People like air and space magazine may not understand Newtonian physics but they do understand how to sell magazine's. Beating Lyle Shelton's unofficial run will wake them up along with the rest of the aviation world. The plane is so close. Seems a shame to park it in a museum before it is ready to go there

The original sponsor Russ Macfarland  is senile or mentally affected. His son who has been managing the
program could care less about light aircraft or rotary engines. In essence the money so far spent  has come
out of his potential inheritance. Russ wanted the successful TTC airplane to end up  in the EAA museum.
I don't know if that is going to occur. If it does not It might be possible to buy it.

I agree it has some potential to set some altitude records.
