 Hi Paul,

 I am in search of an engine for my experimental aerobatic aircraft. I
 have my own design about ¾ built and the engine I was going to use is
 no longer available. It was coming from 3W Germany and was a 4
 cylinder horizontal opposed two stroke. ( I see the eye roll 😊) It
 was 38 Lbs and put out 63 HP. (They filed for bankruptcy)

 So I now have a need for 50 or more HP in a 40 Lb package and realize
 a single rotor might do the trick.

 I have previously used a Norton rotary on a plane and familiar with
 the arrangement.

 My question is do you know of anyone that produces a single rotor
 design that is available off the shelf?

 Or are there parts available for me to scratch build something like
 this?

 I can design a reduction drive if needed as I am a design engineer.

 I can add a little weight up front but not much. As I have not
 mounted the wing, I can shift it forward some but it does mess with
 the Aerodynamic center I was hoping to achieve.

 Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also you might find a used Austro out of a Alexander Schleicher motor glider.
I think the Chinese own Ausrtro engines now.
