I'm trying to put together the Kuchemann & Weber and the Kays &
London theories together. I'm going to 3D print the diffuser as
molds then fiberglass over top.
My oil cooler is 9.31" x 11.25" by 2", so I want to maximize the
diffusers. Using Kays & London, I'll stick with 20% opening, which
makes my S wedge 9.31"W x 2.25"H (20.95sq").
Reading over and over the "How to cool your wankel".. What do I use
for Kuchemann and Weber? Fig 12-16 on Page 49, shows the Scoop-Area
(Ai) vs Rad-Area (Ab) should be around 40% to start seeing gains. Is
my Rad-Area (Ab), the opening of the K&L wedge? If so, that would
make 40% of 20.95sq" = 8.38". Around 3.25" circle. Seems big, since
the wedge opening is only 2.25"H.
I have lots of room for duct behind the rad, probably get in the 50%
ratio of wall-distance (a) to radiator-height (Hb)

That may or may not work Matt. I never tested that. I was guessing.
You may get flow separation around the transition from one system to
the other.
I would test it on the top of a vehicle on the highway with a water
manometer.
The idea of course is to get uniform flow through the core. The
cooper tubes are pitot tubes.

Realize that by expanding the area from the inlet to the cooler that
air will slow down some and allow adherence to the tight radii of the
inlet. Some disturbed flow should be expected in that transition
area. The key is to have a larger outlet area, because warmer air
expands, so the real secret to this is balancing the exit area to
the inlet area at worst case airspeed!

That's not it. Do you have my book How To Cool Your Wankel?
These are the books and papers I found useful when writing "How to Cool Your Wankel"
