Josh Roux is working on a new CD ignition system computer
specifically for the second gen ignition trigger. That is the one
that looks a bit like a distributor. Found in late 80's RX7's. See
the attached pictures. It will also work on an RX8 engine with dual
triggers.
The computer is called a Duinomite. Same programing language
MMBasic and features but faster and better than the Gizmo Maximite
Color. This computer can probably do whatever a Motec can do. Many of
the program (if not all) Maximite computer programs will run on the
Duinomite such as the Wankel compression tester.
We also have a new engine ignition trigger simulator. Here are movies
of it working at idle and very high RPM.

We used an M&W Pro 14R from OZ on the Time To Climb engine and ran
into trouble when the battery voltage dropped below 12 volts. We had
to add an extra 18 volts battery. The ignition alone was well over
$1300 as well.
I suspect it was copied from an old design by John Clark. Here is a
pdf of an article John wrote.
Josh plans on using US made MSD Street fire CD systems. Much less
cost.

Here is a Maximite program I wrote to test a crank angle sensor.

Tjhe LM1815 chip is probably found in all the worlds car computers as it cleans
up the mag crank angle sensor signal. Converts it to a nice pulse.
We will attach a DC motor to a real 2nd gen crank angle sensor.
