  Ear wax is a big problem so keep yours ears free from wax.
  It can get into the speaker if you don't constantly check and
  clean it out or off.

Paul,
So this is way off topic but you brought it up and I have a question so here goes. I am a couple of decades behind you but am getting to the point in life where the effects of aging are starting to rear their ugly collective heads. My hearing is still good but starting to decline and I am getting some wax building up in my right ear just beyond the comfortable reach of the old q tips.  In the past I heard a few different ways to deal with this problem, tried a few but none worked and I ended up with an ear infection from one. Do you have any suggestions other than going to a clinic to get that deep goo out ?
